Our discoveries have redefined best practices and improved patient care. From the beginning, research has been an integral part of our mission.

Why Research?

Our commitment to patient care extends to pushing the boundaries of what is possible ever forward. Our investigators research real-world clinical problems to develop new treatments, new therapies, and new cures that help patients locally and around the world live longer, healthier lives.

Participate In Research

Volunteers Needed for Clinical Research Studies
BloodworksNW is recruiting volunteers for a study of platelets stored in the cold. Participants will undergo apheresis platelets collection and receive an infusion of their own platelets. For more information contact Lynda Fitzpatrick at 206-689-6285 or [email protected].

Volunteers Needed for Blood Product Collections
Bloodworks is currently seeking volunteers for blood donations for research. The purpose of the study is to collect normal adult blood for use in research or reagent for production of engineered cells to treat patients with cancer.  We do this in cooperation with researchers running clinical trials.  Your blood will be collected and provided to researchers or manufacturers with a unique code that does not identify you as an individual (de-identified). Financial compensation is offered for your time.
Currently, blood is collected at our Central Seattle and our Bellevue locations, on certain days each month, between 7am-12pm.
In order to qualify for this study, you must be 18 years or older, and meet eligibility requirements for volunteer blood donations. To find out if you qualify as an eligible blood donor, click here.

If you would like to participate, please contact us at [email protected] (with link to open email document) or call (206) 398-5999. You will be contacted by a Bloodworks NW representative to ask you a few questions to determine if you qualify for this study.
